Veteran Summer Bridge Program
The Office of Veteran Services will host a Veteran Summer Bridge Program in August 2018. The program is designed to assist student veterans in acclimating to the CU Boulder campus, while enhancing math, writing, and research skills in an intensive and supportive academic environment.
Dates: August 5-17, 2018
Program Opening: Sunday, August 5, 2-5 PM
Course and Campus Instruction: August 6-10 and 13-17, 9 AM to 4 PM
Included: midday meals for the duration of the program, all necessary classroom supplies
Cost: free for all accepted attendees
A $500 living stipend is awarded to participants upon completion of the program, posted to the University account for the Fall 2018 term.
Please note: Housing is not provided during the program. However, students who will be living in University-affiliated housing in Fall 2018 may work with the program coordinator to arrange for early housing move-in when possible.
Daily instruction in math, with a focus on refreshing and building math skills
Daily instruction in academic writing and research skills
Instruction and hands-on learning time with campus computing systems
Introduction to campus support offices, including Career Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, Financial Aid, Veteran Services, and more
Connection with the CU Boulder Student Veteran Association and Veteran Ambassador Program
