The University of Colorado Connection

Manifest Technologies (prev. Vitro3D) was founded in 2020 by Camila Uzcategui and Johnny Hergert to bring to market their revolutionary volumetric 3D printing technology developed while PhD students in Bob McLeod's lab (CU Boulder College of Engineering and Applied Science). Partnering with CU Boulder, Vitro3D has harnessed programs such as the NSF I-CorpsTM: Hub West Starting Blocks and Research-to-Market (R2M), Lab Venture Challenge (LVC), Destination Startup® and the New Venture Challenge (NVC). Vitro3D is also part of Innosphere Ventures’ Colorado Life Sciences Incubator cohort, with backing from the Buff Venture Fund, and is focused on three distinct markets—first the dental market, then 3D cell culture for drug development and scaffolds for human organ and tissue regeneration. The company rebranded in 2025 and introduced their Parallax Volumetric Additive Manufacturing (P-VAM) Evaluation Kit. P-VAM utilizes a proprietary light engine and sophisticated algorithms to cure photoreactive resin simultaneously across three dimensions. Unlike traditional layer-by-layer additive manufacturing, complete objects can be produced in one continuous step.
