The University of Colorado Connection

PrecisionTerra

Founded by CEO Maithreyi Gopalakrishnan  (alum, CU Boulder Physics) in the Embark Deep Tech Startup Creator, PrecisionTerra is commercializing a cutting-edge algorithm that enhances GPS signal coverage in challenging environments, such as dense urban areas with tall buildings. This breakthrough technology addresses critical needs in industries where poor GPS quality undermines performance, including mapping, autonomous vehicles and military operations. Significant milestones achieved include creating a minimum viable GNSS signal processor and preparing a demonstration unit capable of integrating with commercial and military hardware. PrecisionTerra's technology was developed by Jade Morton (CU Boulder Ann and H.J. Smead Aerospace Engineering Sciences), director of the Colorado Center for Astrodynamics Research and leader of the Satellite Navigation and Sensing Laboratory. PrecisionTerra also won funding in CU Boulder's New Venture Challenge, grew through Forum VC's accelerator program and the NSIN Vector accelerator and represented the Boulder region for the Startup World Cup.
