CU Boulder startups selected for Innosphere's 2025 Life Sciences Incubator

Innosphere has announced the 2025 cohort of its Life Sciences Incubator, featuring 33 startups advancing solutions in biopharma, digital health, diagnostics and medical devices, including three CU Boulder startups.

Kioga is discovering and commercializing new dietary ingredients to "vaccinate" consumers against stress and metabolic disorders by targeting brain and body inflammation. Kioga is based on work from the laboratories of Christopher A. Lowry  (CU Boulder Integrative Physiology) and Noah Fierer  (CU Boulder Ecology and Evolutionary Biology). Justin Whiteley , cofounder of eat meati™ (Meati Inc.), joined Kioga as CEO through the Venture Partners Embark Deep Tech Startup Creator in 2024.

IntraLumenus is revolutionizing interventional endoscopy with its flexible robotic endoscope developed by Mark Rentschler  (CU Boulder Paul M. Rady Mechanical Engineering) and led by CEO Jesse M. Sheppard  (Alum: CU Denver Business, CU Boulder Business). Offering unparalleled precision, stability and control, the device reduces technical complexity and procedure times, enabling more endoscopists to perform advanced procedures, all while improving patient outcomes.

Endios Bio is developing breakthrough therapeutics for rare neurodegenerative diseases by targeting the newly discovered impacts of the gene peg10, which was recently linked to ALS and Angelmans and has druggable potential. The company is based on the work by Alexandra Whiteley (CU Boulder Biochemistry), and began in the Venture Partners Embark Deep Tech Startup Creator with EIR Wendy Overton .

The program is backed by the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) and builds on foundational support from the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT). Innosphere will support the cohort with hands-on development, strategic mentorship, and investor connections—culminating in a national showcase event in December 2025.

“Our 2025 cohort is solving critical health problems with bold science and scalable tech,” said Kevin Noble, Life Sciences Program Director. “We're excited to help accelerate their journey from lab to market.”
