What is CHEMunity?

CHEMunity is a graduate student organization that seeks to foster community in the chemistry department.

Who is CHEMunity?

CHEMunity is a made up of a group of gradate students across the chemistry divisions who work with CHEMunity’s faculty advisor, Oana Luca.

When is CHEMunity?

Every other week! Usually late afternoon on a Wednesday or Thursday! Keep an eye on your email and make sure you’re subscribed to the currentchemgraduate email list! On the off weeks, we also host zoom coffee hours, where you can bring concerns, questions, beverages, or just swing by to talk and hang out for a bit.

How is CHEMunity?

Listen, we know that one was really a stretch. But the only way we get things done is with the help and participation of other grad students. We’re not asking that you come to a weekly meeting or commit to hosting a monthly zoom session, but we hope you’ll (sometimes) be able to make it to our meetings! If meetings aren’t for you or don’t work for your schedule, no worries! You can use the "Contact Us" page to submit a question, concern, or idea to CHEMunity. You're welcome to include your name or contact info (but they aren't required) and feel free to request a direct response, too. We check submissions every other week before each meeting, and we'll start of meetings by addressing any submissions.
