Are you a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) undergraduate, graduate student, professional, or faculty member? Pathways in STEM needs you! As we explore the world of online outreach, there are many ways to get involved in this program and help encourage the next generation of LGBTQ+ STEAM thinkers. Many of our volunteer opportunities are low commitment; browse the opportunities below and see if there are any that appeal to you.

Content Submissions:

Instagram and Facebook are a core part of our outreach program. We are also asking for photograph and images submissions from our CU Boulder community and from LGBTQ+ STEM professionals in Colorado. Content submission info

Interested in taking part in a 5 - 10 min Zoom interview?

LGBTQ+ students and STEM professionals are invited to be interviewed over a topic(s) of thier choice. The topic should fit somewhere in the set of LBGTQ+ identity in STEM, STEM career paths while being LGBTQ+, LGBTQ+ advocacy in STEM, or STEM research. Fill out this form if you are interested in this opportunity.

Proofreaders and Judges Needed for Creative Pathways

We are calling on students who are minoring in Creative Writing or majoring in English to volunteer and help us proofread and give feedback on short story submissions. We prefer students who are also majoring/minoring in a STEM field or who are LGBTQ+ identifying themselves but these are not required. If you are not LGBTQ+ identifying, you must be an LGBTQ+ ally. Please click here for more information and for the application.

Join a Panel!

We have many opportunities to join a panel during late June and July. You can fill out our General Volunteer Application if interested. Panels are for students, faculty, and other STEAM professionals in all STEAM disciplines.

We might update this volunteer page with more opportunities during the program. Stay tuned!

And thank you very, very much for your support in this program.
