Out in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics  (oSTEM), Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit professional society focused on LGBTQ people in the STEM community.

oSTEM at the University of Colorado Boulder (formerly Student Alliance of GLBT Engineers or SAGE) strives to provide networking opportunities, professional development, social proceedings, and safe space for the LGBTQ+ CU Boulder community in science, technology, engineering, and math fields. We are a chapter of the national organization oSTEM Inc. and are housed in the BOLD center. We are also a Registered Student Organization (RSO) with the Center for Student Involvment on campus. 


Who can be a part of oSTEM @ the University of Colorado, Boulder? 

We have a variety of events and volunteer opportunites for all members of the CU Boulder campus. 

Undergraduate and Graduate Students

As a RSO, one of our goals is to provide social and professonal opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students. Become a member today and join us for our weekly meetings. You can register for our events. Our events and membership are completely free! During the FALL 2020 semester, all events will be hosted virtually. 

Consider volunteering with us by helping us organize an event or help manage our communications. We also have projects in high school outreach. You can also run for a position during elections (which occur annually in the Spring). Interested? Email us at ostemboard@colorado.edu for more information!

Together, we are a voice for advoacy and change on campus. oSTEM @ the University of Colorado, Boulder also hosts a student-nominated award for faculty members who advoacte for LGBTQ+ students in STEM on campus. Learn more about the award or nominate a faculty member who went above and beyond to support LGBTQ+ students.

You can sign up for one on our events page. For the FALL 2020 semester, we will also send out a paper invitation to our Out in STEM Symposium and our Dr. Evelyn Hooker Award Ceremony. All CU Boulder Community Members are eligible to recieve a sticker.
