Mechanical

  • Mastercam 2018 CAD (computer aided design) software: capable of importing student oriented Solid Works files in .x_t format
  • HAAS VF2- CNC milling 16 x 32 inch work envelope: 3 axis computer control milling, capable of 3D profiling, surfacing, threading, grooving and counter boring all metals and plastics
  • Turnmaster lathe turning up to 27” diameter: large heavy horsepower lathe for heavy turning and metal removal, cylinders, shafts, etc.
  • Miller Dynasty 350-precision TIG welding on aluminum and stainless: latest welding technology with pulsed welding, variable waveform, AC balance control, etc. for welding stainless down to .5mm thick and Aluminum up to 1cm thick

Electronics (all used for diagnosing and design of circuits)

  • 4 Channel Oscilloscopes: type of electronic test instrument that allows observation of varying signal voltages, usually as a two-dimensional plot of one or more signals as a function of time. Other signals (such as sound or vibration) can be converted to voltages and displayed
  • Hand held and bench Multimeters - tool used to measure voltage, amps and resistance across circuits
  • Signal Generators/Function Generators - test equipment that produces an electrical signal in the form of a wave, used as a stimulus for the item being tested
  • Test Oscillators – general purpose signal source whenever a flat balanced or unbalanced test signal is required and it is useful for tuning studio equipment and instruments
  • Frequency counters –for measuring the frequency of a signal
  • Adjustable DC Power Supplies
  • Variacs – for producing adjustable AC power.
  • Data Acquisition Systems – We use USB and PCI card National Instruments daqs.
  • RTD and Quartz Thermometers
