After a year as a visiting assistant professor for Washington and Lee University, Dr. Stempien has continued work as the data analyst for the Geoscience Affective Research NETwork (GARNET) a NSF funded project to better understand student experiences and motivations in introductory geology classes. She also teaches Introductory Physical Geology and Intro to Earth History sections at CU-Boulder and and consults on some faculty projects.
