The SEI program in chemistry has successfully completed. In the past, the department of chemistry and biochemistry focused its efforts on transforming the general chemistry courses. These are the largest 5-credit courses on campus and impact a variety of science majors. We assembled a general chemistry working group made of faculty, senior instructors, academic advisors, lab personnel, and science teaching fellows. The working group met regularly and contributed to the articulation of learning goals, revision of concept surveys, and provided input for decisions about course reform.
