Umair Yousaf is a Master's student in Computer Science at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he is a member of the HIRO Group and the NSF iSAT institute. At iSAT, he develops SparkAgent, an AI-driven classroom discourse monitoring system built on LLaMA, retrieval-augmented generation, and Whisper. Through the HIRO Group, he also works on collaborative robotics, developing force-constrained motion primitives for dual-arm manipulation. His broader interests span natural language processing, applied machine learning systems, and robotics, with prior experience in generative AI, computer vision, and speech-to-text pipelines focused on building practical, end-to-end solutions.
