Jannatun Naim is a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Colorado Boulder, advised by Professor Tamara Sumner. Her research focuses on educational NLP, particularly analyzing teacher–student discourse to evaluate instructional quality and modeling student talk to help teachers better understand classroom dynamics. She is part of the iSAT Connection Finder project, working on mapping learning goals to student dialogue. Her prior work includes information retrieval and harmful language detection in multimodal social media content.
