Carine is Dr. Nikhil Krishnaswamy’s PhD advisee in computer science (natural language processing) at CSU. Her current research interests include automatic speech recognition and low resource languages. She holds an MS in computer science (artificial intelligence) from SMU and a PhD in translation studies from Kent State University. Carine has a background in language education and translation, with extensive experience teaching French and translation as an instructor and professor in the US and abroad.
