Performance Reviews & Planning
CU Boulder has an annual performance management cycle that includes performance reviews and performance planning sessions between employees and their supervisors. RES's Payroll and Personnel Liaisons provide reminders to staff throughout those cycles to ensure that the paperwork required is completed and provided to Kerry Howard, FMIS Human Resources within the designated timeframes.
2021 University Staff Performance Review Key Dates
February 5 by 5 pm
Employee input provided to supervisors
If you do not have a copy of last year's performance plan document, contact your supervisor for a copy to complete your input.
February
Supervisors complete evaluations and review with employees
February 28 by 5 pm
A copy of the completed evaluation and rating form must be received by Employee Relations by March 15. Supervisors must conduct planning meetings with their employees during the month of March. A performance plan should be completed for all university staff by April 1.
2021 Classified Staff Performance Review Key Dates
April
The performance management cycle is April 1- March 31. All classified staff hired on or before March 31 must receive an evaluation.
May
All completed evaluations must be sent to the Employee Relations by May 1.
June
Performance plans should be put in place by June 1. The performance management process requires that a copy of the front page of the planning and evaluation form, with the planning box completed, be sent to Employee Relations by this date.
