Residency Petition Closed (Targeted Message)
We sent this email on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026, to students whose incomplete Summer 2026 residency was closed due to inaction.
Dear [first],
We have reviewed the petition you submitted for Summer 2026. As part of our review, we requested additional documentation or clarification by email and added a to-do item in Buff Portal.
Because we did not receive the required documentation by the applicable deadline, we are unable to complete review of your petition. Your petition for Summer 2026 has been closed and will not be processed further. Petition closures are final and may not be appealed.
If you believe that you qualify for in-state tuition classification, you are welcome to submit a new petition for a future term. A new petition must be submitted within the published deadlines.
