We sent this email on the following date to students who needed to correct a Social Security number (SSN) mismatch in order to receive COF funds for Spring 2024:

Dear [first],

Your College Opportunity Fund (COF) stipend can't be applied to your bill because the Social Security number (SSN) in your CU Boulder record doesn't match the one in your COF application.

As a reminder, COF was created by the Colorado Legislature to pay a portion of total in-state tuition for eligible undergrads. There's no limit to the number of students who receive it, and you never have to pay it back.

To Correct Your Record

To resolve this error, follow our step-by-step instructions to update your record by 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2024.

Do not email anything containing your SSN. Doing so could put you at high risk for identity theft.

Once you receive an email confirming that your record was updated, follow our online instructions to authorize COF by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
