Dear [first],

Our records indicate that either you haven't applied for the College Opportunity Fund (COF) benefit or if you’ve already applied for COF, you haven’t provided your COF unique ID or SSN to CU Boulder.

COF was created by the Colorado Legislature to pay a portion of total in-state tuition for eligible undergrads. There's no limit to the number of students who receive it, and you never have to pay it back.

If you don't apply for COF and/or resolve your application error by 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2024, you won't receive the COF tuition reduction for your eligible Spring 2024 class(es).

Please follow our instructions to apply for and authorize COF. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us. If you’ve applied for COF, follow our step-by-step instructions to update your record. If you don’t have a SSN, please email your COF unique ID to our office.

The deadline to authorize COF is 11:59 pm on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us.
