paulich and hewittCU Psychology and Neuroscience graduate student Katie Paulich (Behavioral, Statistical and Psychiatric Genetics) and her advisor Professor John Hewitt (BPSG, and Director of IBG) were in the news, being interviewed for an article in CU Boulder Today article about the impact that spending more time in front of a computer/handheld device has on kids (9 and 10 year-olds in their data set). Their research, part the of the nationwide ABCD study, was published in the journal PLOS One and demonstrated that increased screen time was not overly harmful to kids' sleep patterns, incidence of depression and anxiety, and other behavioral impacts.
