CU Psychology and Neuroscience College Professor of Distinction Emeritus Jerry W. Rudy has had a research fund established in his honor. The fund was made possible through a donation made by Richard and Linda Hyson to honor Jerry's mentorship (Richard is a former PhD student) as well as Jerry's leadership in the development and creation of the undergraduate neuroscience degree. Dr. Hyson received his PhD in 1985 and is currently the R. Bruce Masterson Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at Florida State University. Ths fund will be used to to assist with expenses associated with laboratory research by undergraduates majoring in Neuroscience. It is the Hysons’ hope that other CU alums will contribute to this fund so that it will have a sustaining influences on undergraduate research opportunities.
