CU Psychology and Neuroscience Assistant Professor Cinnamon Bidwell (Clinical) was appointed by Colorado Governor Jared Polis to be the chair of the Institute of Cannabis Research Governing Board. The Governing Board guides the role and mission of the Institute, which is to conduct or fund research related to cannabis and publicly disseminate the results of the research. In addition to overseeing and approving the annual budget of the Institute, the Board also advises any Colorado institutions of higher education on the development of cannabis related curricula, including recommendations to the Colorado Commission on Higher Education on approval of any cannabis related certifications or degrees.
