archCU Psychology and Neuroscience Professor Joanna Arch (Clinical) was in the news as a result of a multi-year project she is undertaking to study and treat anxiety levels in cancer survivors. The project is being funded by the American Cancer Society and conducted in collaboration with Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers (RMCC). RMCC is a statewide network of 20 community-based treatment clinics, the largest provider of cancer care in the state. The study will evaluate the effectiveness of a new treatment, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an evidence-based approach tailored to cancer survivors.
