CU Psychology and Neuroscience graduate student Dan Gustavson (Cognitive, mentored by Akira Miyake) was in the news regarding his research on possible genetic links between executive function (EF) and procrastination. The research, published in JEP: General with CU-Boulder Psychology and Neuroscience coauthors Akira Miyake, John Hewitt, and Naomi Friedman, showed that procrastination is negatively correlated with general EF ability, and related to common goal-management failures of EF.
