Luke ChangTor WagerFormer recent CU Psychology and Neuroscience postdoc Luke Chang (Wager lab, now on the faculty at Dartmouth College) and Psychology and Neuroscience Professor Tor Wager (Cognitive) were in the news for their publication regarding the neural signature of negative emotions. In the research, published in the journal PLOS Biology, the authors were able to indentify a neural signature gathered from participants who had negative affect induced from looking at aversive images. With this signature, they were then able to predict how an independent sample of participants responded to the images based on their own neural signatures.
