PANELISTS
Lauren Tiedemann Loob, P.E., (BBA) provides technical expertise for surface water, groundwater, and water rights projects, including water right investigations and valuations, augmentation plan and SWSP development and operations, reservoir modeling, operations, and accounting, historical consumptive use and water availability analyses, and streamflow modeling and analysis. She prepares engineering analyses for Water Court cases and has significant experience evaluating and opposing Water Court applications on behalf of clients, including assessing potential injury to existing water rights. Her experience also includes work with federal reserved water rights throughout the western United States. Lauren earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Southern California. She is a registered Professional Engineer in Colorado and California and currently serves as President of the Colorado Section of the American Water Resources Association.
Guillermo Vizarreta Luna (Hazen) is a Ph.D. student in Systems Engineering at Colorado State University and an Assistant Engineer at Hazen and Sawyer. His research interests center on how high-frequency water quality data and AI models can support operational decisions at water utilities, and his work includes machine learning models for water quality prediction and evaluation of LLMs for classifying utility documents. In Peru, he managed water quality across three watersheds at the National Water Authority and worked in municipal environmental compliance and urban planning. He is a Fulbright Alumni and a UNEP/UNESCO/BMUV Fellow and holds an M.S. in Systems Engineering from Colorado State University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Management from TU Dresden, and a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from the National Agrarian University La Molina.
Abigail Wright (Denver Water) is a senior watershed scientist at Denver Water. Abigail is the lead of the Watershed Water Quality at Denver Water within the Watershed Planning section. Her technical expertise is in surface water, water quality, cyanobacteria, risk management, and project management. She holds a B.A. from the University of Colorado Boulder in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and a M.S. from the University of Denver in Environmental Policy and Management. Abigail is the President-Elect of AWRA Colorado.
Aidan Lyde (Denver Water) Aidan Lyde is a Climate Change Adaptation Planner at Denver Water, where he works to strengthen the utility's resilience to the impacts of climate change. His role includes long-range integrated water resources planning, climate adaptation mainstreaming, and developing innovative decision support tools. He also serves as a staff representative with the Water Utility Climate Alliance. Aidan holds a Master of Environmental Management degree from Yale University and a B.A. in Political Science and International Studies from Colorado State University.
Students interested in careers in natural resources, including forestry, should attend.

We are excited to invite you to a free preview of a workshop that will feature at the national AWRA conference next month. The workshop will be led by Richard Koehler, PhD, PH (professional hydrologist), and present a technique for quantifying streamflow (more details below).
Bagels and toppings will be provided! We will be working in a computer lab with the requisite software pre-installed specifically for the workshop, but you are welcome to bring your own laptop.
