Lisa Valencia was born and raised in Colorado in a town just 12 miles “northeastish” of Boulder. She worked a number of years in City government before beginning her employment with CU Boulder in 2007. She started at the Academic Advising Center, then went to Preprofessional Advising, and is now settled comfortably in Career Services. Lisa enjoys spending time with family and her two four-legged fur kids. She also enjoys socializing with friends, microbreweries/microbrews, concerts/music, movies, Denver Broncos, the mountains, sunrises and sunsets, traveling, walking her dogs, hiking, volunteering, driving, and being spontaneous.
