Assistant Instructor (1421) for PHYS 1140 in Fall 2026

This is a 20 hour/week position for the Fall 2026 semester.  The position will end on December 14, 2026. Primary responsibilities are as follows:

• Manage two lab sections of PHYS1140 (which takes 15 hr/week) + act as backup instructor for all other lab sections in the event the instructor is ill (average 5 hours/week).
• Management of a lab sections involves 1) weekly meeting with students in a 2-hour lab session; 2) weekly staff meeting to run through upcoming lab and grading rubric; 3) weekly grading of lab reports; 4) weekly Helproom session to assist physics students on their homework assignments.
