Professor Emeritus Uriel Nauenberg passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at the age of 81. As a high energy physicist, Professor Nauenberg was a distinguished researcher and teacher with the University of Colorado, Boulder Department of Physics for 42 years. Among his many distinctions and awards, he served two terms as the Chair of the Boulder Faculty Assembly. In 2004, CU Boulder awarded Professor Nauenberg with the Hazel Barnes Prize, the most distinguished award a faculty member can receive from the university. 

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 2 p.m. at the Stanford Faculty Club, 439 Lagunita Drive on the Stanford University campus.
