Policies
The Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance (OIEC) is responsible for implementing and enforcing four university policies for students, staff, and faculty:
- The University of Colorado Protected Class Nondiscrimination Policy (APS 5065)
- The University of Colorado Sexual Misconduct, Intimate Partner Violence and Stalking Policy (APS 5014 - 2021)
- The University of Colorado Conflict of Interest in Cases of Amorous Relationships Policy (APS 5015)
- The Lactation Space Policy
See CU Boulder's nondiscrimination statement.
OIEC is responsible for educating the campus community about these policies, prohibited behaviors, and options for addressing related concerns. Read more about each policy and prohibited behaviors on the corresponding pages.
The OIEC Resolution Procedures outline how complaints brought to our office are handled in compliance with state and federal laws, and the applicable policies. OIEC employs fair and unbiased processes and treats all individuals who seek our assistance with respect and dignity.
ADA Compliance is a unit within OIEC responsible for compliance related primarily to the Americans with Disabilities Act. ADA Compliance is also responsible for ensuring pregnancy-related accommodations for employees.
If someone has a complaint not covered in the policies administered by OIEC, we will connect individuals to the correct resource on or off campus.
