Shanna Farmer

With over 20 years of leadership in philanthropy, higher education, and public service, Shanna M. Farmer has dedicated her career to strengthening communities across Southern Colorado. She has served as President & CEO of United Way Pueblo County since 2019, leading significant organizational growth, expanding regional reach, and strengthening long-term sustainability.
Her background includes leadership roles in nonprofit management, grant operations, education, and public policy, with experience at Catholic Charities of Pueblo, Colorado College, Colorado State University Pueblo, and the United States Congress. She holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from CSU Pueblo.
Shanna serves in several statewide and local leadership roles, including Vice Chair of the Colorado Children’s Campaign Board, Board Member of the Colorado Nonprofit Association, and Associate Board Director for Wings Credit Union. She is also an Adjunct Faculty member for CSU Pueblo’s President’s Leadership Program, where she mentors emerging leaders.
Outside of her work, Shanna and her husband Sean are passionate animal rescuers and enjoy traveling and outdoor adventures.
