Local Government and Community Engagement

The Local Government and Community Engagement team focuses on strengthening relationships with local government entities, community organizations and business partners to advance economic vitality, civic engagement and sustainability.

The team collaborates with local governments, school districts, nonprofit organizations and chambers of commerce to partner on key initiatives. Key initiatives include CU’s Buy Local program and the CU Community Scholars internship program. They also host town halls and information sessions about campus infrastructure projects that may impact nearby residents as well, and consistently communicate with community members in areas including the Hill, Goss Grove, Martin Acres, and downtown Boulder.
