Line outside the Boulder Theater

Wow, things are rolling!

We had over 150 students and mentors come together at our two Mentor Matching events in February. It was fun to hear the breadth of venture ideas competing this year. With more than 87 in the competition, there is no shortage of cool ideas. From an AI-powered dynamic pricing platform for hotels to innovative dating apps...and even a fizzy milk beverage. For me, it is always great to reconnect with our seasoned mentors and meet those of you who are new to the mentor pool.

In the coming weeks, our ventures will be incredibly busy developing their pitches and building their MVPs. We have workshops on protecting IP, entity formation and how to build a pitch for our ventures coming in the next few weeks. Most critical is the time these ventures will spend with their mentors. If you are a mentor and have not been requested by a venture, feel free to dig into the venture profiles and see if a venture is operating in your wheelhouse and reach out to them to offer your mentorship. And don’t forget to register to attend the Final Showcase at the Boulder Theater on April 17, with Chancellor of CU Boulder Philip P. DiStefano providing the opening remarks. We will also have an update on the progress of last year’s NVC first-place winner, CLD-9.

As always, thank you for your support. I look forward to seeing you at the Final Showcase!
