NVC Newsletter - Jan. 11, 2023

Hello and Happy New Year!
The spring semester is when things really get going at the New Venture Challenge (NVC). Ventures have until Jan. 25 to register for the competition. Once registered, ventures will begin reaching out to mentors for guidance between now and the finals on April 12. If you’re an NVC mentor, we encourage you to jump into StartupTree and check out the registered ventures. If there is one you would be excited to work with, please offer your mentorship. If you’re interested in joining NVC as a mentor, complete a short survey here.
We are also excited to have two special competitions again this year—Female Founder and Climate. Each of these competitions will have a prize of $10,000. Please join us on campus on March 8 in the Imig Music Building for the Female Founder Competition Prize Night and on March 9 at Google for the Climate Competition Prize Night to see which ventures will win.
NVC is not just a program at CU Boulder; it is a collaboration with the entrepreneurial community of Colorado. We are supercharging tomorrow's business landscape with new ideas and the next generation of business leaders. Students who compete in NVC are people you want working for your company—problem solvers with the grit to get it done. If you want to learn more about NVC or want to get involved, please shoot me an email at hickorys@colorado.edu. I would be excited to chat with you and see how we can help grow this program together.
