Designs virtual planetary rovers and terrestrial planetary surfaces for virtual reality head-mounted displays. Creating experimental framework that allows for 3rd and 1st person rover teleoperation for user studies, user training, and rapid prototyping of user interfaces and rover designs — all without the need of physical hardware.

Additional work explores the union of human-robot interaction and augmented reality technology in areas such as robot teleoperation, robot intent communication, and robot supervisory control systems.
