Our Mission: To promote excellence in the arts and culture by providing a professional
and inviting atmosphere that fosters creativity and a rewarding experience
for patrons, supporters and performers.
As a business unit of the College of Music at the University of Colorado Boulder, Macky Auditorium's budget for operations, salaries and general maintenance largely comes from rental revenues. A marginal portion comes from the University's General Fund. We have been successful over the years in achieving balanced budgets, but to the detriment of sorely needed structural and technical improvements. The University and Boulder communities deserve a world-class venue and only through your generous support we will be able to accomplish our mission while preserving the historical value of the theater.

Celebrating 90 years this upcoming 2025-26 season, the Artist Series has brought the globe's finest jazz, classical, world music and dance performers to Boulder. The Artist Series is a self-funding auxiliary of the university, is well managed and stable, and sold-out performances are common. In addition to bringing these internationally acclaimed performers to Macky’s stage, the Artist Series hosts outreach events in the community and residency activities for CU Boulder students. Your support is essential in sustaining Artist Series concerts for the Boulder community.
