National Residence Hall Honorary

Make it a Moment 

National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) is a leadership-based honorary organization dedicated to recognizing individuals who make a positive impact within the residential community while creating opportunities for service, belonging, and engagement across campus.

Through recognition initiatives, service opportunities, leadership experiences, and community-building programs, NRHH celebrates the students, staff, and organizations that help make CU Boulder a vibrant residential community. Members play an active role in creating a culture where people feel valued, appreciated, and connected.

Program Experience

Recognition Initiatives

Recognition is at the heart of NRHH. Members learn how to celebrate the accomplishments of students, staff, organizations, and communities through a variety of recognition programs, including: 

  • Of The Month (OTM) Awards 
  • Moments of Impact Recognition 
  • Recognition campaigns and events 
  • Community appreciation initiatives 
  • Through these efforts, members help create a culture where contributions are acknowledged and celebrated. 

Service Opportunities

NRHH members participate in service projects that benefit both the CU Boulder community and the greater Boulder area. Past partnerships have included: 

  • Local nonprofit organizations 
  • Community service agencies 
  • Campus initiatives 
  • Regional service projects 

These experiences help members develop leadership skills while making a meaningful impact beyond the residence halls.

  • Submit an OTM: Of The Month (OTM) Awards recognize students, staff, organizations, advisors, communities, and programs that have gone above and beyond to positively impact the residential experience. Anyone in the CU Boulder community can submit an OTM. 
  • OTM Handbook: The OTM Handbook provides guidance on writing impactful nominations, understanding award categories, and creating submissions that effectively highlight the accomplishments of others. 

How to Get Involved

NRHH welcomes students who are passionate about service, recognition, leadership, and community engagement. 

Members gain opportunities to:

Meetings

General Body Meetings are held on Tuesdays weekly and provide opportunities for members to engage in recognition initiatives, service planning, leadership development, and community-building activities. Please email nrhh_membership@colorado.edu if you would like to become a member of NRHH. 

OTM Selection Committee

Interested in helping select CU Boulder's campus-winning OTMs and advancing nominations for regional recognition? The OTM Selection Committee reviews nominations and helps celebrate outstanding contributions across the residential community.
