Named after the first African American woman to graduate from CU, the Lucile B. Buchanan community aims to encourage first-year students to grow in their identities and cultivate a sense of belonging. The program's focus is on providing students with the opportunity to engage in dialogue around the cultures and diversity of the African and Black diaspora, identities, and social justice issues.
