Kristine Stenzel joined CLASIC Professional Master’s Program as Program Coordinator in 2021. She is a CU alum, receiving her PhD in Linguistics in 2004, and has been adjoint faculty in the Linguistics department since 2016. She was a professor of Linguistics at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for 13 years and continues to conduct research on endangered indigenous languages of the Amazon. Kris is a native of Colorado and is happy to be living near the mountains again. Her hobbies include travel, cooking, and making music. She sang in a professional vocal group in Brazil and is currently a member of the Boulder Chorale.
