Our Facilities
Team Weimer recently consolidated its lab footprint to reside completely in the Engineering Center of the University of Colorado Boulder. We have cutting-edge analytical equipment and are known for our modding capabilities on existing process designs. These labs house the ALD reactors, a high flux solar simulator (HFSS), as well as high-temperature reactors that can reach temperatures in excess of 2000oC, which are used for testing new materials and chemical looping of methane, among other substances. These labs are also capable of performing cryogenic milling, LECO elemental analysis, and particle size analysis (PSA/PSD). Our facilities also include characterization capabilities such as BET surface area analysis, dilatometry, selective chemisorption/physisorption, microwave digestion, gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA/DSC), and sintering up to 2000oC under vacuum or 2200oC in argon.
