International Education Week: Fall 2020
International Education Week (IEW) is an annual celebration of international education and cultural exchange worldwide. This year, IEW will occur November 16-20, 2020 and is sponsored by the Offices of Education Abroad and International Student & Scholar Services.
You’re invited to come celebrate IEW at our signature event, World Showcase on Monday, November 16, 4:30-5:30 p.m.. This virtual event is being held in collaboration with the International Festival Committee to promote intercultural awareness and understanding.
We are also facilitating a photo submission event. We invite our international students and scholars to submit a photograph and caption that illustrates the following theme: Perspective & Resilience: My International Experience. The deadline to submit your photos is Thursday, November 12, 2020, at 11:59 p.m.
On Wednesday, November 18 from 2- 3 p.m., join members of Career Services for an interactive workshop on the “Unwritten Rules of the U.S. Job Market.” This workshop is meant to help international students understand strategies for navigating a job search in the U.S. In this 60-minute workshop we will focus on U.S. cultural norms as related to networking, career fairs, and the job search process.
We’ll be adding additional events and access links to our IEW website.
As international students and scholars, your perspective is valuable to this campus and we look forward to celebrating the difference you make as engaged, global, and resilient members of the CU Boulder community.
We hope to see you during IEW!
