Receiving Payment While Working Internationally
TransferWise is an international money transfer service that can help CU international employees living in certain countries, who do not yet have a U.S. bank account and cannot receive checks, receive payment while working abroad. Some international students/employees have been successful in setting up TransferWise Borderless accounts, which gives them an account number and routing number that is equivalent to a U.S. bank account. These numbers can then be entered into the Direct Deposit form in their MyCU Portal.
Instructions:
- Go to your TransferWise account and find the account number and routing number (click on the 'US balance' tab).
- Log in to select MyCU Portal.
- Find Direct Deposit
- Select 'text me new code'
- Add account details
