Receiving Payment While Working Internationally

TransferWise is an international money transfer service that can help CU international employees living in certain countries, who do not yet have a U.S. bank account and cannot receive checks, receive payment while working abroad. Some international students/employees have been successful in setting up TransferWise Borderless accounts, which gives them an account number and routing number that is equivalent to a U.S. bank account. These numbers can then be entered into the Direct Deposit form in their MyCU Portal.

Instructions:

  1. Go to your TransferWise account and find the account number and routing number (click on the 'US balance' tab).
  2. Log in to select MyCU Portal.
  3. Find Direct Deposit
  4. Select 'text me new code'
  5. Add account details

Please note: In order to get U.S. dollar account details, your country must appear on this list.
