The University of Colorado Boulder Cultural Events Board is dedicated to filling cultural voids on campus. We use around $500,000 worth of student fees annually to achieve this mission. The Board encourages any and all student groups who believe they are filling a cultural void on campus to apply for funding.
In response to a 2003 survey ranking CU Boulder as the number one party school, the Colorado Creed was developed by students to highlight the diverse array of academic and social experiences on our campus, outside of party culture. The Creed is a social code of conduct, a lifestyle by which students, faculty and staff at CU Boulder live.
CU GOLD (Gaining Opportunities through Leadership Development) provides free leadership development to everyone within the CU Boulder community. Our programs range from free workshops for student organizations (Workshops-in-a-Box) to semester-long weekly sessions (Core Leadership Program), all with the goal to inspire students to create positive change on campus and in their communities.
The Dennis Small Cultural Center (DSCC) exists to serve underrepresented student groups on the CU Boulder campus by providing programmatic support and a safe space for cultural expression and community gatherings. We serve the campus community as a whole by providing opportunities to enhance cultural awareness and celebrate diversity. We are committed to facilitating programs and resources that contribute to the intellectual, cultural, social, ethical and personal growth of all students.
The Distinguished Speakers Board brings speakers of the highest caliber to campus who will intellectually stimulate the student body and the surrounding community. Ultimately, we hope to inspire people by bringing some of the world’s greatest minds to the University of Colorado at Boulder.
