Angela Cunningham (PhD 2019) was been named one of 15 TRELIS Fellows for 2020. Angela is currently affiliated with University of Luxembourg. As part of her Fellow status, she will attend a 3-day workshop in May 2020 in Honolulu, Hawaii. TRELIS (Training and Retaining Leaders in STEM-Geospatial Sciences) is an NSF-funded project with a leadership team from 7 universities and organizations including CU-Boulder (Babs Buttenfield) and UCGIS (University Consortium for Geographic Information Science). The TRELIS program builds leadership capacity and skills to address career development, communication, conflict resolution, and work-life integration. The name implies a human capital trellis or scaffold of support, embracing the reality of nonlinear career trajectories in STEM and geospatial science.
