Welcome Andrea Zelinko – Our New Director of Strategic Initiatives, Infrastructure and Resilience

I’m excited to share that Andrea Zelinko has joined our team as the new director of Strategic Initiatives, Infrastructure and Resilience. Andrea brings a wealth of experience in higher education leadership, strategic planning, and student affairs, and we are thrilled to welcome her to the I&R family.

Andrea comes to us from the University of Colorado Boulder, where she most recently served as associate vice chancellor for Student Affairs. In this role, she led cross-functional initiatives that enhanced student engagement, operational efficiency, and institutional resilience. Her leadership was instrumental in shaping strategic priorities and fostering inclusive, student-centered environments.

Over her 10+ years at CU Boulder, Andrea held several key positions in addition to her role as associate vice chancellor for Student Affairs, including:

• Director of the University Memorial Center
• Interim dean of students
• Associate director and assistant director for administration at the University Memorial Center

In her new role with I&R, Andrea will support me and the Facilities Management team by leading high-impact strategic initiatives, coordinating cross-campus capital projects, and serving as a key liaison with internal and external stakeholders. She will also play a vital role in aligning our division’s efforts with campus-wide goals, ensuring momentum on critical projects, and enhancing communication and collaboration across teams.
