As of Spring 2021, CU has a new registration system powered by Bike Index. All bikes regularly parked on campus must be registered with the new system. Bike registration is available only to CU students, faculty and staff. Register skateboards, e-scooters and other non-bicycle mobility devices with the same form.
How to Register
Register your bike at the UMC or Folsom Bike Stations during open hours. The registration process is quick, easy and FREE!
If you cannot make it to the UMC Bike Station for some time, you can register online and then pick up and link the sticker. It's best to register your bike at the station. Then, we can link the sticker during the registration. The process is quick. However, it's better to register your bike so the serial number is in the database if it goes missing.
Step 1
Fill out the online registration form. You'll need your bike's serial number. It is important that you input the correct number and complete all fields.
Step 2
Open the email from Bike Index and confirm your bike registration.
Step 3
Pick up your registration sticker at the UMC Bike Station or the Environmental Center located on the 3rd floor of the UMC. You must present your Buff OneCard to recieve your sticker.
Step 4
Link the sticker to your registered bike by following the instructions on the back of the sticker.
Step 5
Place the sticker on your bike in a visible location.
