May 1, 2026 May Day & Full Moon
Happy May Day! This time of year is astronomically significant and is known as a cross quarter day between the spring equinox and the summer solstice.
Tonight is also the Full Flower Moon. But, it'll look somewhat smaller than normal, because the Moon is almost 250,000 miles away from Earth, instead of its average 238,000 miles. Did you notice a difference in size and brightness?
