June 16, 2025 View from Mars
Ever wonder what the constellations look like from Mars?
NASA’s Perseverance rover captured a view of the constellation of Leo a few months ago. The two of the brighter stars in Leo, Regulus and Algieba are in view, along with Deimos, the smallest of the two Moons of Mars.
In tonight’s sky, you’ll find Leo sauntering towards the western horizon with Mars right next to Regulus. It’ll make for an interesting juxtaposition from our Earthly vantage point to that of the intriguing Martian landscape.
