Risa Ito
Risa is a first-year PhD student. She received her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with honors from Keio University, Japan. Before attending CU Boulder and joining ORCCA, she did her bachelor’s thesis at Keio University, and she interned at JAXA/ISAS as an acceptance student. Her current research interests are spacecraft autonomy in asteroid/small bodies missions. Her Ph.D. study is supported by the Funai Overseas Scholarship, which she was awarded in 2025.
