Melis was a graduate student from Rochester, New York. She holds a B.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering from SUNY University at Buffalo and obtained M.S. in the same field from CU Boulder in Fall 2020. Her research explored the dynamics of aerocapture and entry, descent, and landing, focusing on uncertainty quantification/propagation and spacecraft guidance.
