It’s time to register for classes, and, unfortunately, sometimes that means classes fill up quickly, and you may not be able to register. When a class is already at capacity, you can add your name to the waitlist. If a student drops the class, you may be eligible to take that student’s place.

If you choose to waitlist for a class, make sure to have a backup plan. Consider other classes you can take that fulfill your degree requirements, or use the time to explore other courses of interest.

When you add your backup class to your schedule you can set up “drop if enrolled” so the system automatically drops the backup class if you get enrolled in the waitlisted class. Make sure to connect with your advisor to stay on track to graduate on time.

If you are not able to get into a class for the spring semester and you remain on the waitlist, you will have access to the course reservation process for 2020. Check the published course reservation periods to find out when you can reserve a course you were waitlisted for.
