Who’s speaking at CU? Oct. 21–24

You never know who might be visiting the CU Boulder campus. Hear from Former Ohio Gov. John Kasich and The New York Times reporters who broke the Harvey Weinstein story in the coming weeks.

Oct. 21: Reporters who broke Harvey Weinstein story

Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalists and authors of The New York Times exposé detailing the Harvey Weinstein allegations, will speak at CU Boulder’s Macky Auditorium on Monday, Oct. 21. Kantor and Twohey are hosted by the Distinguished Speakers Board, a CU Boulder student-led organization.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., with the event beginning at 7:30 p.m. CU Boulder student ($2) and faculty-staff ($10) tickets will be cash only, requiring a valid Buff OneCard at time of purchase. Tickets will be sold weekdays from 10 a.m to 3 p.m. beginning Monday, Oct. 7, at the first-floor event table in the University Memorial Center and will continue through Monday, Oct. 21, or until tickets are sold out.

Oct. 24: Former Ohio Gov. John Kasich

Former Ohio Gov. John Kasich will speak at CU Boulder’s Macky Auditorium on Thursday, Oct. 24. Kasich is being hosted by the student-led Cultural Events Board. Doors will open at 6 p.m., with the event beginning at 7 p.m.

Kasich served as a U.S. Representative in Ohio’s 12th Congressional District (1983–2001) and challenged for the Republican presidential nomination in 2000 and 2016.

CU Boulder student ($2) and faculty-staff ($10) tickets will be sold weekdays beginning Sept. 30, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the first-floor event table in the University Memorial Center. A valid Buff OneCard and cash will be required at the time of purchase. Public tickets ($20) will be available exclusively at the Macky website starting at 10 a.m. Sept. 30.
